Alim Isnansetyo is an associate professor at the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. His obtained master degree in the field of Applied Biological Science from the Saga University, Japan. He completed Ph.D in Applied Biological Chemistry at the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Kagoshima University, Japan. Post-Doctoral research was conducted in the area of marine environment and chemistry at the Saga University. Currently, his research focuses on the fish immunology, immunostimulant, probiotics and vaccine for developing environmental friendly counter measure methods of fish diseases.
Rashid Sumaila is the Director of the Fisheries Economics Research Unit at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Fisheries Centre. He specializes in bioeconomics, marine ecosystem valuation and the analysis of global issues such as fisheries subsidies, illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and the economics of high and deep seas fisheries. Rashid has worked on fisheries and natural resource projects in Norway, Canada and the North Atlantic region, Namibia and the Southern African region, Ghana and the West African region and Hong Kong and the South China Sea. In 2017 Rashid was awarded the Volvo Environment Prize for his innovative work in fisheries economics and sustainable governance of ocean resources, and also the Peter Benchley Ocean Award for Excellence in Science.

Kanokrat Limpisophon, Ph.D., Kasetsart University, Thailand
Asst. Prof. Kanokrat Limpisophon is a Doctor of Marine Science in The
Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, Thailand. She completed her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology from 2005-2011. In 2012-2013, Thai-Austrian Cooperation awarded her a fellowship from the Technology grants for her Postdoctoral position in Vienna, Austria. Her research interests cover the area of seafood waste utilization, plant and animal proteins, protein-based edible film, and cryoprotectant of surimi. She was involved in research collaboration with several seafood industries in Thailand to deal with their industrial waste problems. Her innovative research on the utilization of the seafood industrial waste helps the industry to convert their waste into value-added products.

Hyung Geun Kim is a professor at the Department of Marine Bioscience, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Korea. He is also a President of the Korean Society of Phycology. He was the Dean of college of Life science (2007-2008) and Dean of Academic affairs(2012-2013) in his university.
He received his Ph.D in Marine Biology (1991) from the Pusan National Fisheries University. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Marine Bioscience, Tokyo Fisheries University (1995-1996) and a visiting scholar at the Department of Biology, University of Washington (2004-2005). Recent studies in his lab have conducted on physiological ecology and cultivation of Grateloupia plants in red algae for biomass production.
Xiong-Zhi Xue is a professor and executive director of the Coastal and Ocean Management Institute (COMI), Xiamen University, China. He received Ph.D from the Xiamen University in 1999 and became associate professor from 2000-2005. His research interests cover marine and coastal environmental study with particular emphasis on the Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) and cumulative impacts caused by human activities.
Since 2016, Dr. Nikolai Borisjuk (Mykola Borysyuk) is a Professor at the School of Life Sciences of Huaiyin Normal University (Huaian, China). He has graduated from the T. Shevchenko Kiev State University (Kiev, Ukraine), majoring in microbiology and received his PhD in molecular biology in 1988. In 1990 he moved to Tuebingen University in Germany as a fellow of A. von Humboldt foundation, since then he continued working at various international research Institutions in Germany, USA, Australia and China. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research papers devoted to plant biodiversity, plant genome structure and evolution, plant genetic engineering and stress resistance in prestigious scientific journals such as Nature Biotechnology, PNAS, Plant Physiology, Plant Journal, New Phytologist etc. and authored 4 US Patents. He taught molecular biology and genetic engineering courses and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Kiev State University (Kiev, Ukraine), Institute of Plant Genetics (Gatersleben, Germany), Rutgers University (New Brunswick, USA), Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, USA) and the University of Adelaide (Adelaide, Australia). His most recent research deals with improving agricultural traits in wheat (7 publications in the last 3 years), and studying biodiversity, evolution and applications of aquatic duckweed plants (5 publications in the last 3 years).
Kim Jeong Ha is a professor at the Department of Biological Science, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. His research focuses on the Korean marine environments, which include (1) ecological monitoring of marine benthic habitats with regards to global warming and seawater changes, and (2) population ecological works on marine benthic organism. He received a prize awarded by the President of Republic of Korea in commemoration of the Ocean Arbor Day 2016. He also has developed and promoted the eco-friendly and scientific technology to create aqua-forest which is being tested to apply to the East Sea of Korean Peninsula.
Dr. Ram C. Bhujel completed BSc from IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, in 1992, and MSc (1994) & PhD (1999) from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand where he serves as Research Associate Professor and Founding Director of Aqua-Centre. Since 1995, he started his career as Research Associate. Since 2005, he has been teaching and supervising MSc & PhD students. He was a post-doc visiting fellow at the University of Stirling, UK in 2000-2001 and at the University of Montpellier III, France in 2012. Ram has written two books as sole author; 1) A Manual for Tilapia Business Management published by CAB International, Oxford, UK, and 2) Statistics for Aquaculture by Wily/Blackwell Science. He has also published over 160 scientific papers, and chaired several scientific sessions in international conferences/seminars/workshops giving invited speeches in over 45 countries.
Currently, Ram serves as Team Leader / Coordinator of a project (Budget 0.999m Euro, 20172020), funded by EU to develop MSc curricula for “Sustainable Seafood and Nutrition Security”. The project plans to establish sustainable seafood centres for training and launch innovative MSc programs in partner universities in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam in collaboration with partners in Greece, Norway and UK. Ram also coordinated a USAID project called, “Agriculture Learning Exchanges for Asia Regional Networking (AgLEARN)” as Deputy Chief of Party (2013-present, budget approx. 1m USD). With this project, innovative agricultural technologies were transferred from Thailand to food deficit communities in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Nepal; three districts in each of these countries. He served as one of the members of the global team of evaluators of the AAS (Agriculture and Aquatic Systems) programme of the CGIAR. He has gained an extensive practical experience working with FAO/UN (e.g. the Philippines & Zambia), WorldFish (Timor Leste), NACA (Nepal), USDA (Pakistan), US Soybean Export Council (Myanmar), NEPAD (Africa), SPC (Fiji) and several private sectors engaging with local communities and higher-level executives and policy makers. He has been awarded a GOLD MEDAL by Asian Fisheries Society (AFS) in 2009 and recently Fellow Award 2018 from the Society for Agriculture Innovation and Development (SAID) for his contribution to aquaculture/fisheries in addition to several other awards. His main mission is to transfer aquaculture/agriculture technologies through training, outreach and direct technical assistance programs for the benefit of wider communities especially with the goal of achieving food and nutrition security, poverty reduction and employment creation.
